Operation Noah moves offices, has new address

As of 1 December 2022, Operation Noah is no longer working out of the Neighbourhood Office, but from Romero House. Our new address is: Operation Noah, Romero House, 55 Westminster Bridge, London, SE1 7JB. We will share office space with CAFOD – the international development charity and official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales – and Green Alliance, an independent think tank and charity focused on environmental issues.

On Tuesday 20 September, Operation Noah hosted a webinar on our new report, ‘Church Land and the Climate Crisis: A Call to Action’. Our speakers included Hannah Malcolm, a Church of England ordinand, theologian and Operation Noah trustee; Andy Lester, Head of Conservation at A Rocha UK; Alan Radbourne from the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology; and Sharon Hall, Campaign Officer at Operation Noah. Holly-Anna Petersen, an Operation Noah trustee, chaired the webinar.

PRESS RELEASE: Operation Noah report finds Church of England land contributes to the climate crisis, suggests ways to reduce and store emissions

Operation Noah has released a report that makes recommendations on ways to reduce and store carbon emissions to one of the country’s largest landowners, the Church of England, which owns approximately 0.5% of the UK’s land. The report is also relevant to other UK Churches and Christian groups, estimated to own another 0.5% of the UK’s land.

PRESS RELEASE: Global faith institutions announce divestment as oil and gas companies threaten 1.5°C climate goal with reckless expansion plans

In a challenge to the fossil fuel industry’s dangerous expansion plans and increasingly empty rhetoric on climate, 35 faith institutions from seven countries today announced their divestment from fossil fuel companies. Organised by the World Council of Churches, Operation Noah, Laudato Si’ Movement, Green Anglicans and GreenFaith, this latest divestment announcement comes from faith institutions in Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, the UK and the US.
