Align Your Money with Your Values: Run a ‘Switch It Sunday’ Service at Your Church Using our New Resource Pack

Earlier this year, Operation Noah, Just Love, and JustMoney launched The Big Bank Switch campaign, inviting Christians around the UK to align their money with their values by switching from a bank that funds planet-destroying fossil fuels to one that doesn’t. We are now encouraging churches around the country to hold a ‘Switch It Sunday’ service, and have developed resources to make it easy to do so. Our ‘Switch It Sunday’ resource pack includes written prayers, suggested hymns and songs, scripture readings, and more.

PRESS RELEASE: Partnering with Woodland Trust, Diocese of Leeds Responds to Church of England’s Call to Support Nature by Growing More Trees

Following last week’s successful Church of England General Synod motion to increase biodiversity on Church land, Operation Noah is highlighting a case study video featuring a new tree-growing partnership between the Diocese of Leeds and the Woodland Trust; together, the diocese and the Woodland Trust have identified over a dozen sites on 100+ acres of diocesan land with the aim of planting trees by 2025.

Praying in the Streets for an End to Fossil Fuels

In the three hours I spent at the prayer vigil, I was reminded that campaigning, like prayer, is simultaneously unremarkable and powerful. The simple act of being present, of believing that change is possible – and of being willing to be part of that change – can transform a dull February day when our political system seems irredeemably broken into a defiant act of faith and hope.

Jess Templeman Appointed Fundraising Officer

Jess brings a wealth of fundraising experience to our team and has a particularly strong background in international development alongside having worked with faith communities. Jess also currently serves on the PCC for St Martin-in-the-Fields. She recently sat down with Clare Fussell, our Bright Now Campaign Director, for a short interview.
